Q: Who is this tool for?
A: This tool is so easy to use - it is for anyone who wants to trim and shape small hedges, shrubs and topiary or to tidy the edges of the lawn or around garden beds.
Q: What sized branches can I cut?
A: You can cut branches up to 8mm in diameter when using the Scrub Cutting attachment that comes included.
Q: How do I change the blade attachments?
A: Remove the battery first, then squeeze the orange clips on both sides of the cutting attachment to release it. To attach a different blade, insert the metal tabs on the blade into the slots on the shrub shears and press it firmly into place until you hear a click.
Q: Will the blades need sharpening?
A: Keeping the blades sharp will give a neat cut on whatever you are trimming. If you notice that the blades are getting jammed easily or the machine is struggling, the blades may need sharpening. You can sharpen the blades yourself using a STIHL Flat File at a 30 degree angle.
Q: What should I use the different attachments for?
A: The hedge trimmer is the longer blade and can be used for trimming topiary and small hedges. The grass trimming blade is perfect for edging around smaller lawns, decks and flower beds.

Q: How can I keep the blades clean?
A: A blade that is not clean is not efficient. As a hedge is trimmed, sap builds up on the blades, setting hard like glue. Use the dual action STIHL Super Clean to remove resin and dirt and provide lubrication and corrosion protection.
Q: Does this tool come without a battery and charger?
A: Yes. If you already have the STIHL AS 2 battery and compatible charger purchase just the HSA 26 Tool
Q: How long does the battery last?
A: With an STIHL AS 2 battery, the HSA 26 provides up to: 120 minutes with the hedge trimmer blade or 80 minutes with the grass trimmer blade. Actual runtime depends on the type of vegetation and operating conditions.

We recommend keeping the HSA 26 in the carry case with it's accessories so that nothing gets lost. The charger can be wall-mounted.
