The STIHL HSA 26 is a compact battery shrub and grass trimmer designed for small garden maintenance. Ideal for trimming lawn edges, shaping hedges, and maintaining topiary, it provides precise cutting performance in a lightweight and easy-to-use package. Perfect for homeowners who want a neat, well-maintained garden without the bulk and weight of larger Hedge Trimmers.

Two Tools in One: Comes with two interchangeable attachments: a grass-trimming blade for neat garden edges and a hedge-trimming blade for small hedges, shrubs, and topiaries.

Quick & Easy Blade Swaps: Switching between blades is fast and hassle-free, so you can move from one task to the next without slowing down. Replacement blades are available if required.

Optional Telescopic Shaft: Add the Telescopic Shaft Handle (sold separately) to trim grass while standing, no bending, no back strain.

Lightweight & Comfortable: Designed for ease of use, the HSA 26 is lightweight and well-balanced, making it ideal for extended use around the garden.

Features

Hedge Trimming Blade

The double sided hedge trimming blade has teeth in the STIHL teardrop shape which guides the branches into the blade for a precise clean cut. The blade is 20cm long and is ideal for detailed shaping.
Grass Trimming Blade

The grass trimmer blade has a width of 12 cm, which makes it ideal for cutting and trimming grass and lawn edges. The cutting tools can be replaced quickly and without tools.

AL 1 Charger

The charger for the HSA 26 can be wall-mounted to save space.
Trigger & Soft Grip

The large, ergonomic trigger and rubberised soft-grip handle make the HSA 26 both easy to use and comfortable to hold.

Trigger Lock

When the trigger lock is engaged there's no risk of starting the HSA 26 by accident.
Easy Blade Changing

The blades are very easy to change without using tools by squeezing the orange clips on either side of the blade.

Telescopic Handle

An accessory that allows you to stand while grass trimming to save your back. (sold separately)

FAQ'S

Q: Who is this tool for?

A: This tool is so easy to use - it is for anyone who wants to trim and shape small hedges, shrubs and topiary or to tidy the edges of the lawn or around garden beds.

Q: What sized branches can I cut?

A: You can cut branches up to 8mm in diameter when using the Scrub Cutting attachment that comes included.

Q: How do I change the blade attachments?

A: Remove the battery first, then squeeze the orange clips on both sides of the cutting attachment to release it. To attach a different blade, insert the metal tabs on the blade into the slots on the shrub shears and press it firmly into place until you hear a click.

Q: Will the blades need sharpening?

A: Keeping the blades sharp will give a neat cut on whatever you are trimming. If you notice that the blades are getting jammed easily or the machine is struggling, the blades may need sharpening. You can sharpen the blades yourself using a STIHL Flat File at a 30 degree angle.

Q: What should I use the different attachments for?

A: The shrub cutter is the longer blade and can be used for trimming topiary and small hedges. The grass trimming blade is perfect for edging around smaller lawns, decks and flower beds.

Q: Does this product come with a warranty?

A: Yes - The HSA 26 comes with a 5-year domestic warranty on the tool, battery and charger.

Q: What should I wear when using this tool?

A: We recommend that you wear snug-fitting clothes, eye protection, and tie back long hair.

Q: Can I get a new battery for the HSA 26?

A: Yes - We sell the STIHL AS 2 Battery online or at your local STIHL SHOP.

Q: Can I get a new charger for the HSA 26?

A: Yes - We sell the STIHL AL 1 Charger online or at your local STIHL SHOP.

Q: How can I keep the blades clean?

A: A blade that is not clean is not efficient. As a hedge is trimmed, sap builds up on the blades, setting hard like glue. Use the dual action STIHL Super Clean to remove resin and dirt and provide lubrication and corrosion protection.

Q: Does this tool come with a battery and charger?

A: This is the tool-only version of the STIHL HSA 26. You'll need an STIHL AS 2 battery and compatible charger to operate it. Both are available separately, or you can choose the HSA 26 Kit if you need everything to get started.

Q: How long does the battery last?

A: With an STIHL AS 2 battery, the HSA 26 provides up to: 120 minutes with the hedge trimmer blade or 80 minutes with the grass trimmer blade. Actual runtime depends on the type of vegetation and operating conditions.

Q: Can I use the battery and charger with other STIHL tools?

A: Yes, The AS 2 battery is compatible with the range of STIHL AS Battery System tools.

Tips

Looking after your Small Hedge Trimmer & Grass Trimmer

Clean your tool of any grass clippings or debris and use STIHL Super Clean to remove resin and dirt. Keeping the blades sharp will also give you a better result.

Using the Telescopic Shaft

The height-adjustable Shaft Handle is very easy to use, and lets you stand while grass trimming so you don't need to bend down.(sold separately)

Staying safe

This tool comes with a convenient trigger lock that when engaged will not allow the blades to move. It is also a good idea to remove the battery when not in use.
