Versatile Performance: The brushless EC motor offers variable speed control with two settings. Use ECO mode for simple tasks to save energy and extend battery life, or switch to full speed for tougher jobs. The intelligent electronics ensure consistent high power, regardless of battery charge.

Comfortable Design: The compact and well-balanced FSA 70 R is designed with a loop handle featuring soft support, allowing you to manoeuvre around trees, shrubs, and tight spaces with ease. The adjustable handle ensures an ergonomic working position tailored to your height.

Flexible Mowing Head Choices: The STIHL FSA 70 R comes with the AutoCut C 12-2 mowing head, which you can replace without tools. For mowing, we recommend a 2.4 mm round mowing line. You can also purchase the PolyCut 12-2 mowing head with plastic blades, which can be swapped out easily.

Loop Handle

The comfortable loop handle ensures great freedom of movement and easy handling between bushes, shrubs and other areas where space is limited. It is possible to adjust the position of the loop handle so it is the most comfortable for you.

Advanced Easy Spool

With the large orange disc handle, winding the mowing head is a quick & easy. You can do it comfortably without any tools, either directly on the power tool or after removing the head with just a push of a button.
STIHL EC-motor

The STIHL brushless electric motor (EC) is very energy efficient and practically maintenance free. During operation, the electronically controlled EC motor permanently monitors the load and adjusts the engine accordingly.

Ergonomic Control Handle

The FSA 70 R has a locking lever which is self-resetting to prevent unintentional switching on of the tool. The speed of the cutting head can be set in 2 stages and adjusted as required.

Q: How Long Will the Battery Last?

A: Using Level 1 the battery will last approx. 45 mins at Level 2 approx. 25 mins.

Q: How long does it take to charge?

A . The recommended AK 20 Battery takes 180 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 135 minutes

Q: What size garden will it maintain?

A: The FSA 70 R is the ideal grass trimmer for medium to large gardens.

Q: What type of cutting attachment does this use?

A: This Linetrimmer uses a STIHL AutoCut C 12-2 line mowing head, which uses STIHL orange Nylon Line 2.4 (mm). It can also use the Polycut 12-2 head.

Q: Are the batteries interchangeable?

A: Yes, all tools in the STIHL AK Cordless System use the same battery platform. For the FSA 70, we recommend the AK 20 battery, as it provides an excellent balance of runtime and weight. However, the FSA 70 is compatible with all batteries in the AK System

Q: What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?

A: Level 1 is ideal for light trimming and maximises battery runtime. Level 2 provides higher cutting performance for thicker grass and tougher conditions but reduces runtime.

A: The AutoCut C 12-2 mowing head uses a tap-and-go system. Simply tap the mowing head on the ground while operating to release more line.
