Useful Carrying Handle

This Lawnmower has a carrying handle built into the front of the mowing deck which makes it easy to lift and carry.
Foldable Grass Catcher

Made of hard-wearing plastic, the 30 L catcher features a level indicator so you know when it is time to empty the clippings, as well as a folding mechanism that makes it particularly easy to open and empty. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures maximum filling.

Flow - Optimised Blades

These blades only flow as much air as is required - achieving minimal resistance to save battery power.
Central Height Cutting

The RMA 235 has a spring-loaded height adjuster for easier operation, and has 5 adjustment levels to obtain the desired cutting height for the lawn. The current height is indicated by a scale.

Light Polymer Housing

Made from a light but high quality plastic polymer material that is heat and light resistant.
ECO Mode

FAQ'S

Q: What size garden will it mow?

A: With the recommended AK 20 battery, this Lawnmower will mow approximately 250m² of lawn with one charge.

Q: How long does it take to charge the battery?

A: To fully charge an AK 20 battery with an AL 101 charger, it take 180 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 135 minutes.

Q: Are the batteries interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the AK Battery System use the same style of battery. There are three different batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the RMA 235, we recommend the medium capacity AK 20 battery, we do not recommend the AK 10 as the Lawnmower will not run for very long with this lower capacity battery.

Q: What Should I Wear?

A: We recommend that you wear sturdy boots or shoes and snug-fitting clothes and eye protection.

Q: How Large is the Catcher?

A: The RMA 235 has a 30 litre catcher.

Q: Will I need to sharpen the blades?

A: Keeping the Lawnmower blades sharp will give your lawn a better finish. You can have your blades sharpened at your nearest STIHL SHOP.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.

Q: How should I clean my Lawnmower?

A: If you wish to clean your Battery Lawnmower use a damp cloth or soft brush. For safety reasons tie your hair back and wear gloves.

Q: Where should I store my Lawnmower?

A: In a dry clean place away from where children have access.

Q: How do I look after my Battery?

A: Don't get it wet or use it in extreme temperatures.

Tips

Using the grass catcher

The innovative catcher features a useful level indicator to let you know when it should be emptied. The vents in the box face downward so you don't get covered in dirt and dust when mowing

Cleaning your machine

Once you've finished using your Lawnmower, take the battery out and use a soft brush to remove any debris, and wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Make sure the catcher is empty after use.

Storing your Lawnmower

Make sure your RMA 235 is kept in a dry, secure place with the battery removed when not in use. Keep this machine out of the reach of children.

When using your Lawnmower

If it's been a while since your last mow and the grass has grown particularly long, it's a good idea to start with the max height setting, and then perform another pass with a lower setting to your preferred height.
