Handy Carrying Handle

This Lawnmower has a carrying handle built into the front of the mowing deck which makes it easy to lift and carry.
Flow - Optimised Blades

These blades only flow as much air as is required - achieving minimal resistance to save battery power.

Optional Mulching function

Simply remove the grass catcher, insert the mulching plug and swap to the mulching blade. After being mulched the clippings are evenly distributed over the lawn, this reduces lawn thatch, and provides the lawn with nutrients.
Easy to Use Height Adjustment

Achieve your desired lawn height due to the easy to use central cutting height adjustment. Change the height with one easy movement using the spring loaded lever.

Innovative Grass Catcher

The catcher is made of hardwearing plastic. There is a level indicator so you know when it is time to empty the clippings and a folding mechanism that makes it particularly easy to open and empty. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures maximum filling. There are vents on all sides of the catcher that face downward, this ensures you won't get covered in dirt and dust while mowing.

Battery-powered tools from STIHL have constant power, meaning the performance of your battery tool will not decrease during work as the battery discharges. Intelligent electronics means your tool will work with consistently high power until there is no energy left in the battery.

FAQ'S

Q: What size garden will it mow?

A: With the recommended AK 30 battery, this Lawnmower will mow approximately 370m² of lawn with one charge.

Q: How long does it take to charge the battery?

A: To fully charge an AK 30 battery with an AL 101 charger, it takes 205 minutes, but you can charge it up to 80% in 160 minutes.

Q: Are the batteries interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the COMPACT Cordless System use the same style of battery. There are three different batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the RMA 239, we recommend the higher capacity AK 30 battery, we do not recommend the AK10 as the Lawnmower will not run for very long with this lower capacity battery.

Q: What Should I Wear?

A: We recommend that you wear sturdy boots or shoes and snug-fitting clothes and eye protection.

Q: How Large is the Catcher?

A: The RMA 239 has a 40 litre catcher.

Q: Will I need to sharpen the blades?

A: Keeping the Lawnmower blades sharp will give your lawn a better finish. You can have your blades sharpened at your nearest STIHL SHOP.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.

Q: How should I clean my Lawnmower?

A: If you wish to clean your Battery Lawnmower use a damp cloth or soft brush. For safety reasons tie your hair back and wear gloves.

Q: Where should I store my Lawnmower?

A: In a dry clean place away from where children have access.

Q: How do I look after my Battery?

A: Don't let it sit in water or use it in extreme temperatures
