Q: Are the batteries interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the ALLPRO / AP Cordless System use the same style of battery. There are different batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the RMA 353 V, we recommend the higher capacity AP 30, we do not recommend the AP 20 or AP 100 P as the Lawnmower will not run for very long with these lower capacity batteries.

Q: What Should I Wear?

A: We recommend that you wear sturdy boots or shoes and snug-fitting clothes and eye protection.

Q: How Large is the Catcher?

A: The RMA 353 has a 75 litre catcher.

Q: Will I need to sharpen the blades?

A: Keeping the Lawnmower blades sharp will give your lawn a better finish. You can have your blades sharpened at your nearest STIHL SHOP.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.

Q: How should I clean my Lawnmower?

A: If you wish to clean your Battery Lawnmower use a damp cloth or soft brush. For safety reasons tie your hair back and wear gloves.

Q: Where should I store my Lawnmower?

A: In a dry clean place away from where children have access.

Q: How do I look after my Battery?

A: Don't get it wet or use it in extreme temperatures.

Q: Does this Lawnmower come with a warranty?

A: Very little. There are no spark plugs, air filters, engine oil or fuel systems to maintain. Simply keep the mower clean and the blade sharp for best results.

Q: Can I mulch grass clippings instead of collecting them?

A: The RMA 353 offers 4-in-1 mowing functionality including collecting, mulching, rear discharge and side discharge. A mulching insert is included.

Q: How is a laminate cell battery different from a standard lithium-ion battery?

A: Both use lithium-ion technology, but STIHL laminate cell batteries pack more energy into a lighter battery. That means more power and longer runtime without unnecessary weight, making your tool easier to handle during longer jobs. Laminate batteries can also minimises downtime, with the high-speed charging function, you can reach up to 80% battery power in just 9 minutes (with specific charger only).

Q: Can I buy it with a battery and charger?

A: The STIHL RMA 353 is supplied as a tool only. A compatible battery and charger are available separately, or you can choose RMA 353 V Kit that includes a compatible battery and charger.
