Q: What size garden will it maintain?
A: The FSA 140 R is the ideal Brushcutter for large gardens, lifestyle blocks, farming and commercial appications.
Q: What type of cutting attachment does this Brush Cutter come with?
A: The FSA 140 R comes with an AutoCut 27-2 mowing head, for which you can buy replacement line. This Brush Cutter can also take a blade.
Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?
A: No, there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.
Q: Are the batteries Interchangeable?
A: All tools in the STIHL ALLPRO / AP Cordless System use the same batteries. For the FSA 140 R, we recommend the higher-capacity AP 300 P battery to deliver optimal performance and runtime. While smaller ALLPRO batteries are compatible, they may not provide enough power to get the best performance from the tool.
Q: Can I fit a metal blade?
A: The FSA 140 R is compatible with selected STIHL brushcutting blades, making it suitable for tackling thicker grass, weeds and tougher vegetation when required
Q: Does it require regular maintenance?
A: Very little. Unlike petrol brushcutters, there are no spark plugs, fuel filters or engine servicing requirements. Simply keep the cutting attachment in good condition and the tool clean for reliable operation. The protected air filter is designed to support long service life.
Q: What is a STIHL laminate cell battery?
A: STIHL laminate cell batteries are the latest generation of STIHL lithium-ion battery technology, designed to provide more power, longer runtime and reduced weight for professional users.
Q: How is a laminate cell battery different from a standard lithium-ion battery?
A: Both use lithium-ion technology, but STIHL laminate cell batteries pack more energy into a lighter battery. That means more power and longer runtime without unnecessary weight, making your tool easier to handle during longer jobs. Laminate batteries can also minimises downtime, with the high-speed charging function, you can reach up to 80% battery power in just 9 minutes (with specific charger only).
Q: What is the Warranty?
A: The FSA 140 comes with a 5-year domestic warranty or 3 year professional warranty and ongoing support from your local STIHL SHOP.
Q: Can I buy it with a battery and charger?
A: This version is supplied as a tool only, with the battery and charger sold separately. If you would prefer a complete kit, we also offer an FSA 140 R Kit that includes a compatible battery and charger.
