Powerful Performance: The HLA 150 features a high efficiency EC motor that delivers strong cutting power with low vibration. Its three speed settings let you adjust performance to suit different tasks, helping you work quickly and efficiently across a range of hedge types.

Extended Reach and Flexibility: A tool free adjustable telescopic shaft up to 330 cm provides extended reach, making it ideal for trimming tall hedges and hard to access areas. The cutter bar adjusts through 145° allowing comfortable overhead, side and ground level cutting with precision.

Precision Cutting System: Equipped with 60 cm double sided, friction optimised universal blades, the HLA 150 ensures clean, accurate cuts for shaping, pruning and trimming. The design supports high cutting performance while maximising battery efficiency.

Ergonomic and Smart Control: An ergonomic control handle with a digital interface provides intuitive operation and easy speed adjustment. The unit is also compatible with the STIHL Smart Connector, enabling enhanced tool management and tracking.

A: The recommended AP 300 S Battery will last up to 112 minutes, this does depend on what is being cut and how the tool is being used.

Q: How long does it take to charge?

A: To fully charge a AP 300 S Battery it takes 80 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 55 minutes with the AL 301 charger.

Q: Are the Batteries Interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the AP Battery Cordless System use the same style of battery. For the HLA 150, we recommend the high capacity AP 300 S battery as it provides the most power and longest run time for professionals, but you can use any of the other batteries in this range.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No, there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.

Q: Will the blades need sharpening?

A: Keeping the blades sharp will give a neat cut on whatever you are trimming. If you notice that the blades are getting jammed easily or the machine is struggling, the blades may need sharpening. Our STIHL SHOP retailers can do this for you.

Q: What should I wear when using this tool?

A: We recommend that you wear snug-fitting clothes, eye protection, gloves and sturdy boots or shoes, and tie back long hair.
